Facebook uses for libraries

Libraries can use Facebook for many purposes. Some common uses include promotion of new arrivals to the library, promotion of coming library and area events. Facebook can also be used as a way to address issues in the library through suggestions for purchase or new programming. Facebook can also provide entertainment for patrons. For example, we often post library or book-related cartoons and little bits of information, that are there solely to get our patrons engaged and "like" our page, hopefully leading to more participation in library events and services.
